Optimising knowledge transmission situations
These situations depend on Mentor/Mentee relationships, when developing the skills of a Mentee who already has some experience or when new Mentees are being integrated
Understanding your own transmitter profile: helping the knowledge transmitter to understand their own profile, the implications of their profile for the learners, and other knowledge transmitter profiles
Understanding different learner profiles: helping the transmitter to make compromises, adapting their method of transmission to their Mentee’s method of learning, and thus avoiding the cognitive burden being a weight on the learner’s shoulders
Personalising the learner’s training: helping the transmitter to activate the right catalysts for transmission – those which have an effect on the learner
